An exhibition of selected works by Lui Shou-kwan will be held by Alisan Fine Arts at the Société Générale, 2nd floor Gloucester Tower, The Landmark from 20th November to 10th December 1984. On display are representative works from different periods of the artist’s life, reflecting the evolution of his style through persistent experimentation. In the development from a traditional wen-ren (literati) style through avant-garde experiments in the 60s, to the philosophical mood in his final works, the artist achieved a fusion of the tradition of Chinese and Western painting which firmly establishes him as the pioneer of Hong Kong art.
