BIOGRAPHY
1951 Born in Nanjing, China
1968-74 During the Cultural Revolution, he was sent to work in the countryside of Jiangsu
1974-76 Took pencil drawing and watercolor painting lessons from On Rong Kang and Qian Zhong Yu, and landscape painting lessons from Yi Guan Rong
1976-78 Returned to Nanjing where he took landscape painting lessons with A Ming and Sung Wen Zhi. He studied figure painting at the Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting, travelled the Dunhuang caves to study the Buddhist mural paintings, and went to A Ba Di Qu in Sichuan to study out-door sketches
1981 Graduated from the Jiangsu Provincial Academy, where he became a teacher and administrator Chairman of the Academy Arts Committee and a member of Chinese Art Association
