Introduction

Ling Pui Sze was born in Guangzhou, China in 1989 and moved to Hong Kong in 1997. In 2012, she graduated in Fine Arts (BFA) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, receiving the Wucius Wong Creative Ink Painting Award at graduation.


Ling Pui Sze uses a variety of media, and after graduation has focused on ink painting and collage, experimenting with different ink effects on canvas. Natural organic forms and the characteristics of insects, animals and other organisms are the inspiration in her installation and mixed media artwork.


Her solo exhibitions include It all begins in the Sea (Gallery Exit, Hong Kong, 2014) and Metamorphosis (Ch’ien Mu Library, New Asia College, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, 2012). Joint exhibitions include 2+2 (EC Gallery, Hong Kong, 2015) and CC & SE (China Art Projects, Hong Kong, 2014).
